This is extremely soft and comfortable. Nice enough to wear alone, or under a jacket. Plenty warm enough for 40F degree weather with just a t-shirt underneath, but equally comfortable the same way if you sit inside for a while (you won’t be dying with the heat). The only downside might be the material itself, which in the lighter colors (like red) looks much shinier than darker colors. This would be a drawback for some, but really only a minor one. (It does tend to attract hair a little more, so if you have a pet, make sure you have a lint roller handy!)

I got this hoodie for my husband for his birthday. He loves it! He has a blanket of similar material, so when I saw this hoodie, I knew he'd like it. He said it isn't very thick, but it is cozy. He would layer it for colder weather (he wore it outside in 25 degree cold with a wind chill for the pic I included). He started calling it his "dress-up hoodie" and he loves the soft feel of it.
