It is expensive, but very few actual canned, cooked foods have a five year shelf life, and I read many have eaten it older, and it is great! It cooked in the can with broth, easy to Make great soups and dinners with a few veggies, or small potatoes, thicken with instant potatoes, these, turkey, my favorite, or chicken is PERFECT FOR PREPPING! And good any day you need it. I really love it! Worth the convenience and PEACE OF MIND!
