Honestly making a great pot of rice couldn't get much easier than this. I've never had a dedicated rice cooker but have used my instant pot many times with the rice button. But this is sooooo easy! One button easy! As long as you can read directions on how much rice to water ratio, you will have perfect rice or grains. I made arroz con leche and it came out perfect. I used 6 cups water to 3 cups long grain white rice and added some sugar and cinnamon sticks, hit the cook button and in about 25 minutes I had perfectly soft but not too soft rice. I finished up with my remaining ingredients and had a warm, delicious dessert. I've also been on the Aroma recipe site looking at some incredible ways to use my rice cooker. From soups to pancakes. Who knew? Not only am I impressed with this appliance, I think I'm more impressed with the company and what they stand for. They are US company with exceptional values. Hard to find in this day and age.

The Aroma 20-Cup Pot Style Rice Cooker and Food Steamer comes w/ the cooker, the inner cooking pot, plastic steamer basket, top, plastic measuring cup and a plastic spoon. I decided to make some boil in bag brown rice and steamed brussel sprouts for my first meal. I know, BORING! But it was quick and easy. I just poured in a couple of cups of water and added the boil in bag brown rice to the inner cooking pot. Then I poured in a bag of frozen brussel sprouts. Then I pushed the little warm/cook switch down to the cook position and let it go. 10-15 minutes later the rice was done and the brussel sprouts were nice and tender. I added some soy sauce and Thai chili sauce and lunch was served. It was delicious! There is no cooking timer on the Rice cooker. In the instructions manual there's a Rice/Water measurement tables w/ cooking times. The manual also has cooking times for some meats and vegetables as well. That's great, but I like timers on my cooking apparatuses. This was super easy. I can't wait to try some other veggies and things like salmon and dumplings The instruction manual also has a recipe for Chili!
