Choose Wisely-Sony STR-AN1000

Compatibility issues for speaker setup and software issues with Home Menu for speaker calibration: (Error Messages). The unit was reset multiple times firmware was updated before each speaker calibration. I was only able to do a manual setup for the sound in all my speakers. I own a set of Front/Polk speakers, a Polk 10 inch subwoofer, Polk Center speaker, and a set of Dolby Atmos height speakers. This Sony receiver sounds good with all my speakers but the sound was not at its best due to the speaker calibration issues. I'm now waiting to receive the Yamaha - RX-V6A 7.2-channel AV Receiver with 8K HDMI and MusicCast - Black. I will be selling the Sony STR-AN1000 7.2 Channel Home Theater 8K A/V Receiver. The Sony STR-AN1000 is good but not great for the price point. Be prepared for error messages during the speaker calibration process.

S-Center Channel didn't work

I bought this specifically to use with the S-center channel connection I have on my new A95L Bravia OLED TV. I bought a 10-foot audio cable with 1/8" stereo audio jacks to make this connection, but there was a buzzing noise whenever I tried to use it. (jic) I bought a 2nd cable (fully shielded this time) with no improvement whatsoever. I'm not sure that this issue is the fault of the receiver or my TV, but I can still return the receiver and just rely on my fully capable center channel speaker.
