The details in this doll are beautiful. My favorite features are her soft feather sleeves in her dress, and her strawberry blonde curly hair. Effie's makeup styling is beautifully done with her grey and pink shadowing just like the movie! I liked the choice in makeup as it wasn't as extreme as it could have been; it's just enough to look like Effie, but also is where she doesn't look too different from the other Barbie dolls. Effie's hair on my doll was a little different than the one pictured on the item page as it is a little more full around; the texture of the hair is stiff, so should hold in place (as long as your kids don't take a brush to it). The Doll comes with a stand and a certificate of authentication, so would be for the collector, Hunger Games Fan; but if you want to take Effie on a date with Ken and ride her in the Barbie Jeep, she is also up for that too (but she may need to change her dress first). I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review.

This is a beautiful doll even for those who aren't Hunger Games fans! (My 7 year old niece has not seen this movie.) I gave this doll to her as a gift and she was amazed by the detail/shininess of the dress and the makeup detail of the doll. The doll speaks high fashion, and that's what dress up is all about! It's now another doll in her Barbie collection that she absolutely adores and cannot wait to play with it at her next sleepover with all her friends!
