Genuine Dickies Men's JobRated Truxx Waterproof Work Boot

It is hard to say how well this boot will hold up over time. I use them in a quarry type of environment for the most part. And, so far I have used them for about a month. So far so good. I purchased them because for me the fit seemed ideal...not to loose nor too tight. With no half sizes made from 11 and up I was concerned they would either be too long or too short. But, for me, normally an 11 1/2, size 12 worked well. Most boots can be "rocks" when you try them on but these have great cushioning and very generous insoles for comfort and support. With a little use they have become even more comfortable. My only initial complaint would be that the top lace posts are placed a little too close to the top of the boot tongue so that the laces tended to slip up and over onto my socks. With use however I haven't found it a problem. With steel toe boots I have always found that the leather over the steel would tear or wear away leaving the steel visible. It will be interesting to see how durable this green synthetic material is. The price of these Dickies boots was very reasonable. I've paid nearly double the amount and ended up with less comfort and not great durability.

Because of my lean build, my feet are narrow, with high arches and a heavy instep. These boots are designed for average width, so they will fit most feet perfectly. I will need a few months to break them in before they wrap around my feet. They are comfortable and rugged. That makes them an excellent choice for work, play and outdoor activities. They leave enough room to wear a pair of heavy socks over a pair of sport socks, just what I need for hiking and late Fall football practice at UNH. The soles are thick and have treads like a snow tire. They are water proof and oil and slip resistant, so they grip on all surfaces and in all weather conditions. My legs are my transportation. That says it all in a nut shell. The quality and price make these boots an outstanding bargain.
