I had my review in here, but it was deleted because of a change I made. :( Because this is by 3M, I felt the quality of the product was good and was happy when I initially received the first hat. Unfortunately, because of poor quality assurance control, I have to return both hats.
Reason one: the distance between the front and back "clips" - both sides - on the "plastic" insert is too short to allow the back ones to reach the slots on the hat, or vice versa if starting with the back "clips."
Reason two: the spaces on the hat of both the back slots are too small to allow the"clips" to fit correctly. I even put the edges of the clips up to the slot and they are just over the width of the slots.
I watched a video showing how to attach the insert to the hat and IT GAVE THE IMPRESSION that there AREN'T SUPPOSED TO BE the problems I had. Also, in the instructions, it IMPLIES THAT BOTH STYLES of hats are supposed to have a foam insert. If that is not true, then the INSTRUCTIONS NEED TO SPECIFY WHICH STYLE HAT has the foam. The lack of foam when I rec'd my first hat was the main reason I am returning it.
I am very disappointed that I am not able to keep the hats, because I would have paid for the second one if I had been able to attach them. If I'm not doing something correctly, I don't know what. And I would order two more hats if I could be guaranteed to not have the same problems as before.
The three stars are for the overall quality of the product, the mostly easy to read instructions, but especially because the insert would have fit my head! :) :( :《
