Book of Smiles is a collection of humorous happenings in the life of a blind person. Lorraine Beard has a particular sense of humour that is infectious, her powers of observation are, as you might imagine from a blind person, very acute. Her writing style is also infectious, her ability to make up words is part of her humour. I'm sure you will love this book.
