Good tie downs

I had issues with my thule box top during a winter storm. The wind was so strong it pushed the box sideways along the roof top bars and broke off the lock mechanism. Bought these tiedowns to keep the box shut and in place. I like that the hooks and ratchet system are solid and stayed in place throughout the journey. Had no issues loosening the tie-down, too. The only annoying thing for me was that the ribbon has a small tie-down sewn at its free end so you can roll and store the tie-down easily. This makes you fumble quite a bit when passing the ribbon through the ratchet slot as it curls and sticks to itself. I cut this small tiedown off once I got home. :)

Perfect to tie down motorcycle

Bought a set of these to tie down a Honda Shadow 1100 in the back of a pickup. They worked great. The ratchet handles allowed me to pull the bike down tightly. It did not wiggle over several bumps or at highway speeds. We also used them to tie down furniture in the rear of a rental truck. Basically, if you have a solid anchor point, these straps will hold almost anything in place.
