Vicks VapoRub is a topical cough medicine with powerful Vicks vapors. It works quickly to relieve coughs so you can breathe easier. Vicks VapoRub is specially formulated with three active cough suppressants: menthol, camphor, and eucalyptus oil. To use, rub a thick layer of the medicated ointment on your chest and throat to temporarily relieve cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation associated with the common cold. Keep clothing loose around throat and chest to allow the Vicks Vapors to reach the nose and mouth and go straight to the source of your cough. Use up to three times daily or as directed by a doctor for soothing and comforting relief. Ask a doctor before use if you have: Cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus), Persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma or emphysema. When using this product, do not: Heat, Microwave, Add to hot water or any container where heating water. May cause splattering and result in burns. Stop use and ask a doctor if: Muscle aches and pains worsen or persist for more than 7 days or clear up and occur again within a few days. Cough persists for more than 1 week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by fever, rash, or persistent headache. A persistent cough may be a sign of a serious condition. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

A Household Staple
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Vicks VapoRub has been a staple in my household for years. Containing menthol and eucalyptus, it goes to work fast on relieving cough and cold symptoms. I also like that it really works on soothing aching joints and muscles. I highly recommend every household have this on hand, especially during cold and flu season.

Really Works!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Vicks VapoRub has worked wonders on my family. As we are going through a spring cold season, the VapoRub has helped tame down the coughs, especially at night time. It is easy to apply. Just a small amount on the upper chest works great for us!

Effective
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We always keep this vapor rub in our house especially during cold and flu season. It is especially helpful to rub on the chest to provide some relief from coughs or a blocked nose. I like that a little goes a long way so it lasts quite some time. Since it is a jar product, I prefer if it would come in a squeeze tube so I wouldn't have to put my fingers inside the jar. Other that that, this is a highly used product in my household and it is effective.
