Lotta Otter A Slide, some Swings, and Otter Things., Book 1, (Paperback)

Firstly, this book is an engaging and well written story that has cute imagery, and clever rhymes. This story is about a cute otter name Lotta from the streets of Coggeshall. Lotta roams the streets of Coggeshall with her many disguises. This super-otter-woman decided to build a new playground for the kids of Coggeshall out of recycled materials. I found this book to be very clever with its rhymes, I even let out a few giggles at times😊. The format and structure of words remind me of “The Cat in the Hat” books. The illustrations definitely bring the words to life and make the story fun. I love that the book can teach and inspire children to make and build things out of recycled materials. Lastly, the best part of this book is that it was written to help raise money for the Coggeshall's Big Park Project to renovate the East Street Recreation Ground in Coggeshall. These are the types of wholesome books that I will be reading to my kids one day. I highly recommend this book!
