I use it to hold a personal computer off the floor so it has a little more air space under it. It also helps in maintenance since I can roll it out from under the desk where it is located. Because the stand is hard plastic and has no way to lock it's position, it can be troublesome to roll it as the computer will slide around on the stand and the stand will open up. To solve that I used 3/4" wide sticky backed foam insulating tape. I stuck it to the arms and end pads and once you set the PC on that foam tape, it no longer slides around and you can roll it around with some reasonable confidence. Also, two of the wheels are lockable if you want to stop it from rolling.
