I ordered this tool. I ordered this stool because I have trouble with my back and I use it when I'm preparing things in the kitchen. It's a perfect height to utilize your counter tops to do dishes, etc. The finish is a semi gloss to a gloss. Nice smooth finish. The construction is very solid. It doesn't rock or tilt or feel unsecure. It's not a very heavy stool, but it's built very solid. The only problem that I had was the buttons that go over the screws wouldn't stay in and I wasn't going to glue them in case I had to tighten the chair at a later date. I would definitely suggest this stool for its construction and its eye appeal.
