Polyurethane for floors has 3 big benefits that make it unique and different from fast-dry poly. First, the dry time is 3 to 4 hours, 25% faster than traditional poly. Second, if you recoat within 12 hours, you don't have to sand between coats. Third, poly for floors is formulated with advanced anti-settling agents that keep the flattener (used in satin and semi-gloss) suspended all day, which results in less stirring time. This clear, oil-based protective finish is specifically formulated for hardwood floors. Apply with natural bristle brush or synthetic stain pad. Drying time could be longer if using a lambswool applicator due to thicker coat. Can be applied over Minwax wood finish or gel stain. The result is a beautiful, durable, even sheen across the floor. Recommended coats is 3 coats over bare wood. Covers approximately 400 to 450 Sq. Ft. per gallon depending on porosity of surface. Clean up with mineral spirits. Available in gallon only. Transparency: Amber.

Different use but same outstanding results
I have used the poly for floors on several table tops My customers love its durability and shine. I know its for floors but if you want a top coat that will stand the test of time and give your hardwood table a shine that beats all Try it I have 2 boys and they really threw everything at it school projects and all 25 years later and it still looks great

Great Product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought our first house and discovered under the carpet beautiful-ish hardwood floors. So as good DIYers We watched YouTube and jumped into the task of redoing our floors. Minwax Stain (Golden Oak) followed by Minwax polyurethane sealer. WoW! Do they look amazing! And I could jump on the website and chat with an expert when I had questions.

Beautiful finish
We have reclaimed wood floors in our log home that after 18 years of wear and tear needed a facelift! The Satin version of this product gave us the perfect look we wanted. It does dry much faster than other polys, but temp and humidity also have to be considered (higher humidity, longer dry time). Another plus, if the coats are done in a timely manner, no sanding between coats! :)
