I got this Essential oil and diffuser for my kitchen. I picked this one because I liked the size of it and that it comes with two essential oils. I really love it. It looks nice on the kitchen counter and the oils it comes with are perfect for the kitchen and it is very easy to use. It's just three pieces, the top, the bottom, and the cord. You fill it with water which takes maybe about half a cup then add in the oil. The directions say to add just a few drops but I like to vary it up depending on my mood and if I'm working in the kitchen or even if I want to be able to smell it from the next room. It shuts off automatically by itself when the water is too low or you can turn it off with the button. It is supposed to last for four hours but mine has actually lasted four to six hours each time. I just let it run until it turns off, then fill it right back up. It does not get hot and the stream of vapor that comes out is not hot either. I would think this would work well for a small space humidifier as well, but it doesn't say that anywhere.
It comes with two 100% pure essential oils, lemon and sweet orange but you can use any essential oil with it. I have been using the lemon in the daytime because I have heard that the scent of lemon is supposed to help you loose weight and I use the sweet orange at night because it just seems fitting. I use more than a few drops usually, maybe about ten drops. The lemon oil is clear but the sweet orange is actually yellow and leaves a small amount of yellow coloring behind in the unit that just wipes off.
The unit lights up when it is in use and it took me a few days to figure out that you can change the color of the light by tapping the button fast- they didn't put that in the directions for some reason. It has five different colors but I like to leave it on the white, it looks so clean. There is no option to have the light off while it's running.
The only thing I don't like about it is that a usb cord is the only way to power it. It does not come with the actual wall plug so you have to either plug it into a usb outlet or steal the plug from your phone charger. I wish it had a battery power option, I want to put one in my sons' bathroom but the cord is not long enough to put it out of the way. Other than that it is fantastic.
The unit is made in China but the oils are made in the USA.
Overall I would recommend this to anyone who is into scents or oils. I like mine very much and I think this would make a great gift.
