After trying other options, these spikes kept pigeons away. Once we figured out how to assemble them, it was easy to do: (See photo to see the tiny holes for the ‘V shaped' spikes to be inserted into) located in between the 3 larger holes, which is where you can secure the assembled spikes with a nail or screw, or liquid Nails. To assemble, we pinched together each ‘v' shaped spike to fit it into the many pre drilled smaller holes, contained in each dime-sized half-dome shape along the narrow ruler shaped aluminum base. Push each 2- pronged spike into 2 of the small holes until it kind of clicks into place. We pushed them in half way, then pressed the bottom, flat part of each ‘V shaped' spike against a table to push the spikes in all the way. The half circle design with the rounded ‘dome' side faces up, and the hollowed out part of the half circles face down). Very good value for the price.

I wasn't wild about building these but they went together quickly. I'm going to paint them according to the 3 places I am putting them. I look forward to putting these up and training the birds not to perch on my outside lights and a fence line. They are reasonably priced and I think will do the trick!
