This is a beautiful, simple bar stool made of wood for the legs and seat frame with a padded white cushion top. It's very comfortable. I use mine in the kitchen so I'll have a place to sit while I move from one cooking stage to another, and it's a lifesaver after I've been on my feet all day.The bar stool measures 17.13"D x 17.13"W x 31"H and has a beautiful "kiln-dried hardwood frame with mortise-and-tenon joinery and a hand-brushed finish that thrives in indoor environments." The wood really is gorgeous, and I can tell care has been taken to finish it.If you have small children or grandchildren, you'll appreciate the swivel feature of this bar stool seat. You can watch them from anywhere. The seat consists of a "round stool cushion, plush upholstery, and high-density-foam cushion seat that provides easy support and extra seating." I would love to have a kitchen bar that was the right size to use these bar stools.Assembly is fairly easy, but I'm not good at this sort of thing so that probably translates to easy for most people. There are written instructions that make sense, and I did this alone but did ask my neighbor to tighten the screws for me after I was done.Excellent product, a very well made bar stool in a graceful, simple style that would go with any decor. You can get this in either bar height or counter height, and mine's bar height. I use mine to sit by the stove while I'm waiting to start the next phase of whatever I'm cooking, and it's very comfortable and very handy after a long day on my feet. This is a beautiful piece of furniture, and it wasn't too difficult for me to put it together. That means "easy" for other people. I love the white color that goes with any decor in the house so the stool seems to migrate from room to room as everyone uses it. The seat spins easily and smoothly and it goes all the way around and is very quiet. I may need to get another so I have matching set.
