My son has big time sensory issues - the sock is cushioned, it has a nice and snug feel without "strangling" his ankle; no issue with the toe seam. They hold up well after washing, still feel soft, still fit the same... he's 13, so he's rough with everything and no holes after quite a bit of use. They do run a bit small, I'd say.... still hits the size range, but if you are on the upper end of one size, I'd say go up to next size.
