missing important gasket

we did not suspect that this faucet had anything wrong because the package was all intact. But during installation (and a giant mess) we saw that a crucial gasket was missing on one of the nipples. There is no gasket see photos. Not pleased! We have a friend who is a plumber who helped us. I would not buy again nor recommend.
