I love the colors of this quilt. Although I suspect, because it is called 'Lilac Mink' reversible, that the lighter side may be the intended, but for me, the other side, a very mauvey-color is just right for my bedroom. The lighter lilac side is indeed softer than the darker side. It coordinates perfectly with my plum sheets and I can see it paired with many other colors as well. You can see it on my king-size bed (it is a queen-size quilt, so it would hang over more and fit much better on a full- or queen-size bed) and appreciate the color. What you cannot feel is the soft finish of the lilac side!
I have washed this and it came out beautifully and is super soft. It is not a heavy quilt so it can be paired with a blanket for colder winter months. I think it would be fine for both spring and summer. I also have used it as a throw when watching television in the living room and the weight and feel are perfect.
The close-up shot lets you see the gorgeous medallion design detailing. The design is on both sides so it is truly reversible and surprisingly elegant. Matching/coordinating shams would be a great to complement this quilt. It will get much use both on my bed and when cozying in front of the television in another room.
Easy-care washing is a real plus! This quilt comes highly recommended by me for anyone who enjoys beautiful colors and textures for their home without a lot of extra work.
