my husband said it was a bit if a pain to put together. he did it within an hour and it looks beautiful. it is a little heavy and very sturdy. i am buying another piece in this collection.

Nice piece and met my expectations. It's made of pine, so it's nicer than cheaper MDF furniture. Pine is soft though and it does chip easily. One of my pieces already had a chip, which is unfortunate, but by the time I noticed I had already started assembling and didn't want to deal with replacing it. Otherwise though everything was in great condition. It was easy, although time consuming, to assemble and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. One change I made was pre-drilling pilot holes for the back panels. It's just too much of a hassle to screw those in otherwise. I also had trouble with the shelf pins. I had to hammer them in and the ones that go on top were impossible. I ended up replacing those with other shelf pins I had on hand that were easier to get in. I love the drawer glides (very smooth) and the knobs/pulls which are metal and feel very nice.
