Great product and easy installation, can't boot

Great product and easy installation It took about 10 minutes to install and looks like a quality product. but the PC wouldn't boot up in normal or safe mode. Most of the reviews said it was plug and play but not mine. I re-installed the original cooling fan and the computer booted without a problem. Searched online for this problem and found suggestions to modify bios settings. I didn't want to make bios changes to my PC so I returned the product.
