The fleece is not super high pile if that is what you are looking for, but is a very nice texture nevertheless. Liner is absolutely not stiff/cheap/uncomfortable. It's a thin satin-like liner like in any coat. The buttons are toned with dark and lighter brownish. Is the kind of casual coat you would throw on a ton as it's comfortable to wear even in a car. I'm really happy with it!
