It is not heavy, easy to move around if you do not want it on the counter all the time. It heats up quite fast, nice even heat. Can use it as a warmer, cook or bake. Test your pots and pans on bottom that they have a magnetic flat surface. If not you may have to purchase some to use on it. I highly recommend it.
