Epithelial Ovarian cancer (EOC) is one of the most common malignancies in women worldwide. Most of the patients present with advanced stage disease and need extensive cytoreductive surgery to achieve optimal debulking, which is associated with increased morbidity and mortality in most of the hands. Neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) has been used by many people in this setting in an effort to downstage the disease and hence decrease the magnitude of surgery and its attendant negative outcomes. This book summarizes the work done by authors to explore the effect of NACT on negative peri-operative outcomes in advanced EOC.
