Try stainless steel instead
I got them yesterday and was looking forward to frying them for my homemade higher quality, but cheaper Egg MickeyDmuffins! I washed and soaked them. I checked on them about an hour later and one of them had flaked of a small flake of the paint/enamel into the water. See photo of the mold. I bought four, so I'm going to set that one aside or throw away. I used two this morning to fry four eggs. I put oil in the pan and brushed oil on the inside of the rings. Even after oiling the rings, the eggs stuck to the inside of the rings when I tried to remove the eggs to flip. I recommend using a knife to cut the inside of the ring to remove the egg and flip them. When I see them at McDonalds, the rings look like simple metal, whereas these have a paint or enamel coating. If I buy these rings again, I would look for bare steel and a slight larger diameter. These measured slightly less than 3", I think 3.25" would be better.
