MAMOWEAR Outdoor 5 ft Electric Waterproof LED String Light

I purchased 6 of these light sets, thinking they were like the heavy green outdoor ones I already have. The pictures don't really show just how light and thin the wires are. When the package arrived, I thought that maybe only one light set was inside but they pack very tightly. I untangled them and put them out easily. The mesh grid is very flexible so it stretches well and conforms to shrubs or whatever you're installing them on. Bulb temperature is warm, so they have a soft, yellow glow that looks exactly like incandescent outdoor bulbs, so these blend perfectly with my older exterior lights. I would give these 5 stars except for the controls. The mesh has a small plastic box with a button on it. Press the button to change modes - solid, fade, blink, etc. The modes are molded into the box so you can know how many times to press the button to reach your desired mode. The box (and text) are white, so it's hard to read. The real issue is that the lights default to a cycle that goes through all 8 modes whenever you plug them in. I have my outdoor lights on a timer, so whenever it turns on, it always goes to this mode unless I manually press the button on each box to the desired mode. If you want your lights to just come on and stay on (no blinking), you will have to manually change to "solid" mode, or buy different lights. No idea if the little control box will survive snow and rain. It looks pretty flimsy but we'll see... Overall, I like these, but wish I better understood the modes before purchasing.

These lights came with a plug that cannot be used in the U.S. I am told they are shipping a replacement so if/when I receive that, I will update my review accordingly.
