These are well worth the money! This is my second time buying this item; I had to replace my old one as the elastic finally got too worn-out to effectively stay on my head/keep my hair dry. Not sure when I purchased the last one- it was definitely 5 years ago. This cap doesn't look like it would do anything from the box, but so far this is the only nylon and Terry cloth cap I've found. I wouldn't stand directly under a shower head like you would in a plastic cap, but normal bathing, where you aren't washing your hair, this is great.
