I live in a rental and my shower has a tension rod to hold up the curtain. It fell down frequently and was nearly impossible to adjust so I decided to buy these to help keep it up and get it to stay at the height I wanted. Since using these my rod hasn't fallen once. The adhesive is strong and can hold some weight (in addition to my shower curtain I will also often hang towels or drying clothes over the tension rod). I wish I'd had one of these sooner!
