Poor Design

As everybody else has experienced, the diverter is prone to failure with significant consequences due to the volume of water passing through the hose and difficult to replace without damaging the rubber connector permanently attached to it. In light of the volume of identical complaints and the time span they cover GE should offer discounted replacement parts while redesigning the part for improved reliability, easier installation without the risk of damage and lower replacement cost.

Not what I expected.

Had an issue with the circulation pump not working properly. While replacing the pump I noticed that water had and was currently leaking from the unit. Found that the cause was like all other complaints due to the gasket between the circulation pump and diverter leaking and split. Not impressed with the quality, you would think that they would have addressed this issue sooner rather than later/not at all with the amount of complaints.

2.5 YO Dishwasher Part BREAKS!

Woke up to a massive amount of water in the basement only to find out that the dishwasher was leaking through the kitchen floor. Turns out this flimsy part had literally disintegrated. Bought the dishwasher just barely over 2 years ago. We thought we'd opt for a nicer one and decided to spend a little extra money. What a complete and utter disappointment! Thanks a lot GE. We will not be purchasing another product from you. What a waste.
