Our 3 year old grandson loved putting this together. He enjoys floor puzzles and these pieces are very sturdy and easy for small hands to work with. The pattern around the border was helpful when he saw that those pieces would go at the top or bottom. I also purchased the Traffic Jam puzzle for him.
