Wire Needs to Be Thin!

When I saw the one-star review, I decided to write my own. The other reviewer said that the wire is tiny and fragile---as though that made the product somehow cheap. Yes, that wire IS tiny and fragile, and you have to be careful not to manhandle it. However, a thick, nonfragile wire would not go through the eye of a needle, now would it? And since the whole point is getting the wire through THE TINIEST of needles, it needs to be exactly the way it is. Yes, it does require a rather delicate touch, but I have used it many times very successfully. To use: The wire is in a closed loop made into a diamond shape. Thread the end of the diamond shape (the point) through the needle eye as far as it will go---JUST until it stops. You now have the needle with a point sticking through the eye like this <| Now poke the thread through that big V-shaped hole (about an inch is good) and pull the wire out again. With very small eyes there may be a tight fit getting the wire with the thread through the hole. Just pull slowly and carefully. (It might help to pinch the base of the wire between thumb and forefinger to apply pulling pressure without bending the wire.)

Gotta Have It

This is the first threader that I have not lost while working on a project due to the handle. This is the second one I own. The first one lasted about 3 years and I recently broke it and replaced it with the same item. Great tool for threading needles.

Great Idea-Needs a better wire (threader) design

This product was so great when I first got it. Unfortunately after about a dozen uses the wire broke. No way to replace or fix. So now it's a tiny flash light.
