This style really does deliver more light and coverage over the page for those who desire it. When carrying for travel, you may need to take batteries out as other items in tote/bag will in inadvertently press on button and wear batteries down. When traveling, I take batteries out of the device and carry my light in a tiny cloth sack to preserve battery charge.

I found the answer to my problem of a good light source for reading in bed and not disturbing my husband with lamplight. The light is terrific. I not only WOULD recommend to a friend, but I DID, and then ordered one for her a few days after receiving mine. The only problem was that I paid $19.95 and the price had gone down and she only had to pay $16.10! I have tried several other booklights that were disappointing. With this one I can read both pages without moving the light from side to side. Let me repeat --- this light is TERRIFIC.
