Animal pharmacokinetic studies are an important area of study for biopharmaceutic and pharmacologic researchers and the facilities like University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences can harbor such services not only for the researchers involved in the development of Pharmacokinetic and Bio-equivalence study models in animals. Animal studies play important role in the preclinical phase of the Drug trials facilitating the process of formulation development resulting in the predictable pharmacokinetics of the formulation. The area has not been extensively used in the current research settings of Pakistan. Animal houses with pedigreed breeds and animals with induced disease states and adaptive changes can be an area of interest for multidisciplinary teams involving veterinarians, pharmacologist, pharmacist and pharmaceutical scientists.
