Both focusing and rechargeable, the HLR is a workhorse day in and day out. Go from a wide beam to a spot beam with a simple twist of the bezel. The Variable Light Control allows for a personalized brightness and runtime. It uses a mini USB port on the back of the headlamp to recharge the NiMH batteries (included). It is weather resistant, impact resistant, and the LED is virtually unbreakable. The HL7R is backed by Coast's lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

Love this light!
This is a great light! My husband and I both have one. My husband is a mechanic and he uses his all day, every day. His co-workers have followed his lead and gotten their own. This light gives the amount of light he needs to see what he's doing, and allows him to use both hands to tackle the job. It is not bulky either, so he can get his head in where he needs to see without hitting the light on everything. I use mine for hiking and snowshoeing trips. I can put this light on low to see where I'm going on a trail, then turn up the brightness and focus the light to survey farther ahead and around me. When I get to camp, I leave it on low and set up camp. I oftentimes hang it up and use it for a camp light. It's lightweight so it's ideal for backpacking trips, and it's weather resistant so it can take the abuse of hiking up a mountain during a winter storm with non-stop mix of rain, snow, freezing rain, and sleet.
