Periodically in Central California we get more rain than our gutter system can handle. This washes extra decorative bark and debris into our ground drainage system. When this happens we have to wade into 6 inches of water to remove the blockage. These are perfect for that.

These rubber boots do the job they are meant for at a reasonable price. They are great for tramping around in the winter mud and snow. They only have a thin mesh lining on the inside, so they won't keep your feet warm in the winter. You will need to put on a thick pair of socks for that, so I recommend buying one size larger than your regular shoe size. I did that and they fit nice and snug.
