I like the cover. It is fake leather, but it has a non-slip woven cloth texture on the back and wraps around to the front. The lighter color brown on the front is smooth. Size is perfect in my opinion. Good paper that is bright white and the ink is a nice black, as opposed to some other bibles that have a grayish black ink or off-white paper. I've read NIV bibles in the past, but I just started using this version again for general reading. I use NKJV at church and NASB for bible study, and I don't see anything strange or misleading in the NIV. I don't see any loss of accuracy over the other versions, and the NIV allows me to read through faster with good understanding.

I bought this Bible as a present for my brother, and it was exactly as described. The version is much easier to read and understand that the KJV, and that was very helpful for my brother. The Bible has a great look to it - very nice leather cover and just the right size. It is not too big so that it is bulky, but it is not so small that you need to strain to read it. My brother is very happy with his Bible, and I am very glad that I found this particular Bible for him.
