Great Value Natural Whole Almonds, 30 oz

I eat these everyday out of the bag or with sugar free chocolate chips. They're good for you and it is hard to find raw unsalted almonds, but here u are! They're excellent!

These are the best almonds, imo. Unsalted. Raw. Fairly priced. My only complaint are the skins. All the years I have been buying these, eating them straight from the bag, to just recently, I added a handfull to a bowl of microwavable oatmeal BEFORE cooking. OMG the skins were so gross! The heat loosened them from the meat and it made me lose my appetite lol SO gross! All these years I had no clue they need to be skinned! It was like slimy wet cardboard in my mouth. EWW!!! So! I blanched the almonds I had left for 8 or 9 minutes, you will see the skins loosen. Quickly, and with gloved hands, I removed the nuts from their skins. I roasted them in a skillet, turing constantly til lightly brown. I dried the skins in the oven a bit and put them outside for the birds. All these years! I feel so stupid not knowing about the skins. They toasted up better than ever without that thick skin on them lol
