This is a must have if your player likes to be on top of the plate or is a little scared of the ball. Our son always has one on his helmets. He got hit by a pitch right on this jaw guard and he was fine, it was just a little red from the hit but no bruise or scratch.

Much needed

Bought a few of these to replace some old ones we had on the boys helmets. Unfortunately the helmet screws get loose and can't be fixed on the actual helmet so we had to get new helmets and bought these to go on them. Overall, the guards do there job. They take an impact and well.
