Never used oil pastels before.

These were in the local Wal-Mart at a low enough price for me to try experimenting with. I have nothing to compare them with other than colored pencil and soft pastels. These are a complete palette to do all the shades that trees require along with enough gray to do clouds and good blues for the sky. So 5 stars for the complete palette and an affordable price to experiment with. These seem to require a good bit of skill to not lay down too much pigment so I do not think this medium is right for me at this time.
