To cheap for even pine 2x's

I purchased this bit because it's the only bit I could find that's 1/4 in shaft with a 1 1/2 in cut. I needed it so I could cut the bull nose edges off the stair treads to prep for a hardwood overlay. Used the first bit for about 30 seconds. Could hear pieces of metal bouncing down the steps. Stopped the router, turned it over, the bottom bearing completely gone. Won't buy these again.
