holds paper, doesn't hold tape

if you are wanting this to hold wrapping paper on the edge of the table, you are golden. It works great for that purpose. If you also want it to hold clear tape, your screwed. The part to hold the tape is too big to hold Scotch tape, which makes the serrated edges to cut the tape, useless and a hazard.

I purchased to use with the tape dispenser and the do not sell a 1.5 inch core tape only 1 inch wide I have searched every tape company so I can only use this as a paper holder and have to now purchase a tape dispenser. So I wish I could return and get a better quality product. I should have ordered from Amazon they are showing one that holds regular size tape dispenser tape this one hold the small core package tape but can not get it in a one in wide.
