This collection sees explorer Levison Wood undertake three major walks in three of the Earth's harshest environments; along the Nile, the length of the Himalayas and 1,700 miles along the spine of the Americas from Mexico to Columbia. This 4-disc DVD set features all 14 episodes of Wood's adventures. Walking the Nile sees the British explorer's expedition to walk the length of the River Nile from source to sea. His nine-month, seven million step journey takes him through jungles, savannah, deserts, cities and war zones in some of the continents's most remote and spectacular locations. Along the way, he encounters modern Africa, its people and its wild life face-to-face. The Nile remains one of the last holy grails in exploration - no one has ever completed its entire length on foot.
