CURT class 1 trailer hitches are the lightest-duty hitches of our rear mount lineup. They are engineered for reliability, welded together with quality steel and blasted clean for a smooth finish. Tested to meet the strict demands of the industry, this CURT class 1 hitch has a capacity to tow up to 2,000 lbs. of gross trailer weight and 200 lbs. of tongue weight. This means it can handle a variety of small trailers such as single-axle utility trailers, canoe and kayak trailers, dirt bike trailers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i.e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc). This class 1 hitch is a fixed-tongue hitch, having a fixed draw bar to accept a trailer ball rather than a receiver tube to accept a ball mount. Class 1 hitches are typically mounted on compact cars, full-size cars and some smaller crossover SUVs, minivans and compact SUVs. This particular hitch is designed to be a custom-fit trailer hitch for certain years of the Nissan Stanza sedan (to verify your vehicle compatibility, see the CURT application guide at curtmfg.com). It comes with all necessary installation hardware. Each CURT class 1 hitch is co-cured with a liquid A-coat and a high-gloss black powder coat that provide a lasting defense against rust, wear and harmful UV rays.

More than meets the eye!
Researching along with practical applications over the years, I found it important to system match all components related to towing; In this case making sure my trailer tongue weight was within limits of the receiver hitch. This class 5 receiver is welded hell for stout and is working eXtremely well for my needs.

Nice Receiver Hitch
Very nice receiver hitch with weight ratings far greater than my 2000 F250. Installation was easy with the included hardware. The only issue was, the factory bracket, which was mounted to the rear bumper just left of center, for the 7-prong round and 4-way flat plugs had to be relocated as the depth of the 7-prong plug behind the bracket interfered with the massive size of this hitch receiver. The drop of this receiver hitch is 5-3/4" from the bottom of the frame rails to the top of the 2" square draw bar. Fits very snug below the factory bumper with only 1/2" between the bottom of the bumper and the top of the draw bar. Probably would not work any sort of "deep drop" rear bumper.
