The WU-1a and WU-1b are USB wireless adapters that can establish a two way wireless connection between specific cameras and iOS and Android smart devices and tablets. The USB connections on the WU-1a and WU-1b are different so it is important that the correct adapter is used for the specific camera.The WU-1a and WU-1b wireless adapters quickly installs on the camera. When not in use, the wireless adapters can be removed and stored in a camera bag.

Nikon D-3300 with the WU-1a wireless adapter is a great buy!
Pros: I purchased the D-3300 to take primarily real estate shots both interior and exterior plus virtual tour movies as we are vacation rental property managers. The wide angle lens that came with the package was perfect for my needs. The ease of use of the camera and downloading onto my computer was another plus with the WU-1a wireless adapter. One negative, however was the lack of an airbrushing tool in the program. Other than that minor item I would recommend this camera highly. Beach Camera shipped very quickly and service was excellent. Great remote camera release
Pros: See image on your phone and activate camera release. Cons: Shouldn't leave on camera as it gets hot, sticks out of the side in a vulnerable position. Shutter release speed is a little slow, but you get used to it quickly. Other thoughts: It would be nice to have this little bit of circuitry built into the camera.
