beautiful book

Illustrations are gorgeous. Most stories have 1 full-page illustration except for a couple of the shorter ones. The stories are close to the "classic" versions; be aware these are not the disney version (yes it includes the version of Cinderella where the stepsister cuts off her heel to make the shoe fit). That said, I think the tales are told beautifully and would be great for an older child (or adult!) who wants to read the "real" fairy tales.
