Wahl Lithium Ion Pro Series Cordless Rechargeable Dog Grooming Kit - #9766

I have a 30 pound Corgi/Cocker Spaniel mix. His hair never stops growing. I decided to spend the money on these clippers rather than pay a groomer every few months. My concern was that I would have enough power to get through his coat. Using the chart from the Wahl website, I determined that these clippers should do the job. The results from my first effort were a resounding success. First was the sound level test. I dug out some old clippers that I used on my kids hair to compare against the new Wahl clippers. They were noticeably quieter which was important to me as I didn't want my dog to react badly to the sound. He didn't seem to mind at all, even when I was clipping the hair around his ears. What pleased me most of all was the power level was perfect. I had absolutely no problem powering through the thickest parts of my dog's coat. The clippers never bound up or slowed down no matter where I went. Made the job of clipping easy and fast. As to the comfort of the clippers themselves, I had no problem. Without any cord to get in the way, I was able to hold the clippers in any direction whether I was working on the back, or under the belly and chest. I used the longer comb to do the back and rear of the dog, and the shorter comb around his head and ears. When I took my dog in for his next training session, the trainer commented on how well groomed he looked. She was totally surprised that I had done the grooming myself. As long as these continue to perform this well, the money spent of these clippers will be well spent since every future haircut will be money saved by not paying a groomer.
