not like the old ones!

so had to buy this for a new crankset and my original one was 30 years old so time to replace anyway. the old one was heavy steel except the bracket on the chain side which was plastic. this fit the threads very snugly, I had to use a wire wheel to clean the threads of rust and debris for this to fit correctly. the motion is very smooth, haven't had a chance to use it for real yet. hopefully it will last, somewhat concerned about the aluminum corroding with the bike frame due to galvanic action
