Buyer beware

I sent my laptop in for service three times and the problem was never fixed. The last time it was sent in in perfect condition but was destroyed somewhere along the way. You would not replace or reimburse me for my loss. Clinging to lousy excuses like accidental damage, which it wasn't when shipped. After some time Hp agreed to look into my case again and was going to repair but then determined it was unrepairable and was trying to determine what their next steps would be. I was asked for my receipt then told nothing more could be done because it wasn't sold by an authorized retailer. Again a lame excuse to get out of making things right with me. Now I'm out $2700 for something that was out of my control. Some very expensive lessons were learned here. Ultimately HP does not care about their customers.
