This does remove metals in my pool, but i don't use it all year long. I only use it when metals are high in the pool. I only know when they are high when the chlorine shock stains my pool yellow. I then use vitamin c powder to remove the stain. Then, use the metal remover to bond to the metals and filter them out. Since you can't actually see the metal in the water, I suggest taking a water sample to the pool store to see how much metal remover to put in the pool. Otherwise, you may put too much or too little in. It's a tricky situation that took me 6 months to learn how to solve the problem. I didn't realize that rain and leaves can put metal in the pool. This stuff is a must to keep on hand if you live where it rains a lot and leaves and debris get into your pool.
